The Jet name originated in Yorkshire, England in the early
Fifties and was soon acquired by U. S.-based Continental Oil
Company (Conoco). With Conoco seeking markets for its Libyan
oil, it expanded its marketing operations into a number of
European countries (mostly in northern and central Europe)
using the Jet brand. This Scandinavian Jet map was issued in
1999; note the Conoco logo at bottom.

Conoco's Jet subsidiary is a player in the recently-opened
Polish petroleum marketing scene. This map was issued in 1998.
