Johnson Oil Refining Company was a Chicago-based refiner that
marketed through the midwest. Johnson also marketed under the
Brilliant Bronze name as a secondary brand. This colorful map
was issued in 1932.

This 1937 Johnson map shows the company's marketing territory
in the upper midwest. The Johnson company survived company
until its purchase by Indianapolis-based Gaseteria Oil Company
in 1956. The following year, Gaseteria was in turn purchased
by Jersey Standard and the former Johnson, Brilliant Bronze,
and Gaseteria stations were rebranded to the Oklahoma brand.
